Who is collecting your data?

I, Emma France, Dover Channel Training, only collect personal data for agreed purposes and I am strongly committed to protecting the personal data of customers, members and followers.  

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable living person.  Dover Channel Training & Emma France processes personal data for numerous purposes, and the means of collection, lawful basis of processing, use, disclosure, and retention periods for each purpose may differ.   

When collecting and using personal data, my policy is to be transparent about why and how I process personal data.  Please find out more by reading the statements below.


What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you register with us or place an order for products or services. We also collect information when you voluntarily opt-in for complimentary products, downloads, audio guides, paid products, membership and services. Sometimes we may collect information when you complete customer surveys or provide feedback.

Depending on the nature of our interaction, different data will be collected. For free and paid products your name, email address and payment information may be captured via Stripe, Squarespace, Paypal and in any manual forms. When purchasing physical products, your relevant postal address will also be captured. 

When signing up to any of our training subscriptions or seminars your personal information including information relating to any health issues that may impact training, your swim plans and postal address will be captured through online or manual forms.  Information collated via our subscription service will be stored in our website and / or subscription service.  Information collected via manual forms will be added to our database and / or subscription software and the paper forms will be destroyed.  The subscription software will enable you to securely update your own personal details through a personal account.


How will we use the information about you

We collect information about you to process your order, manage your account and to email you about other products and services we think may be of interest to you. We use postal addresses to ship physical products and/or send logbooks for soloists. We may use your information collected from the website to personalise your repeat visits to our website through the use of cookies.

Information about your goals and swim plans will be used to build your individual training plan.


THIRD PARTIES

None of your information will be passed on to third parties without your consent. Your data will be stored in software accounts such as Squarespace, iZettle, Stripe, Paypal, Dropbox and Xero.  Only core admin resources will have access to your personal data. 


Marketing

We would like to send you information about products and services of ours which may be of interest to you.

When you opt in for a complimentary or paid product or service you can consent to be added to our mailing list as is explicitly stated in the opt in form. If you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at a later date by unsubscribing from the email list. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes.


Access to your information and requesting it to be updated

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email us at emma@doverchanneltraining.com
