Leadership Team

It takes a lot of people working behind the scenes to ensure we provide the best possible training environment for all swimmers.

All members of this team are volunteers. From time to time we have vacancies for further volunteers to support the team. If that’s what you’re interested in, please keep an eye on this page.

Mandi Bodemeaid: Safeguarding Lead

Mandi is a senior manager in a charity (Kent Association for the Blind). Anyone who works in the charity sector is used to going the extra mile, to making what you have go a long way and doing the very best for those you are there to help. Mandi also has a shared background with Emma in that they were both trampolining coaches (though she was far better than I could ever aspire to).

Mandi has completed several channel relays with both the CS&PF and CSA including a 3 person relay with 1 hour rotations.

Mandi’s coaching experience is evident in the way that she teases the best performances out of people.

After her 3 person relay in 2016, Mandi gave back and volunteered on the beach from 2017.

Watch out for Mandi minutes though!!

Mandi is a Level 2 Coach and a Level 2 volunteer.

Patrik Eveborn & Seb Careme: Web managers

Patrik & Seb have recently joined the team as our web managers. I’m sure one of their first activities will be to update their biographies and tell you all a little bit more about themselves.

If you can think of some content that would be useful to you for the members area, please get in touch.

Vacancies

We have current vacancies in our Leadership team for the following voluntary roles:

Marketing & Communications Lead

  • Community Manager

  • Retail / Procurement Lead

If you are interested in joining the team, please get in touch and we’ll share the role profiles and explain the selection process.

So as you can clearly see, we have a real mix of backgrounds within the leadership team with a few common threads running through:

  1. All have given back to the sport before or after their big swims

  2. All have a desire to enable people to achieve their very best

  3. All have professional skills that are different and complimentary, enabling us to avoid group think and to challenge the status quo.

Between us we aim to provide the best possible training offering in a way that is professional and sustainable. We will follow the science. We will make it fun. We want success for you as much as you want it for yourself.
